NEW YORK REMAINS
Let me Find You
I am seeking connection. I believe everyone is. Starting in the summer of 2016, I began to collect vertebrae that I found in New York City, small reminders of the collection of life strewn about the city streets, the parks, the sidewalks, and the subway systems. I memorialized this compulsion with a series of 206 paintings on miniature canvas, the total representing the average number of bones in a human body. Each piece is slowly being returned to the streets, to create a connection between the strangers who may encounter them.
